Great for flat tappet cam and lifters
I use this oil in my 93 Silverado with a 350 TBI. I rebuilt the engine about 3 years ago and used break in oil because of the flat tappet cam and lifters break in procedure. I then used conventional oil and after about 5 thousand miles one of the cam lobes got wiped out. After reaching current production conventional motor oil has little to no zink additive. So I changed out the cam and lifters and have used this vr1 oil for 30 thousand miles with out any issues. I change it with a wix filter every 5 thousand miles. I drive the truck daily.
